Karen Hampton is a licensed psychologist who came to the St. Louis Missouri area from Illinois in 1997. She is a therapist who works with adults, children, adolescents and teens, on a range of stress and coping issues. A graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC), she was active in student and community organizations, and went on to the Evansville Psychology Internship Consortium (EPIC). After coming to St. Louis, she served as St. Louis Psychological Association (SLPA) president in 2004-05 and remains a long-standing member.

Therapy can help with a range of stress and coping issues. Some of Dr. Hampton’s specialty areas are in children with attention and learning disorders (ADHD & LD), communication and relationship problems, family dynamics, and recovery from eating disorders and trauma.

Dr. Hampton uses both cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT), family systems-oriented and interpersonal approaches to therapy.
